I am sorry but I have ended up wittering on a bit in this one. It is, without any doubt, my biggest challenge since my marathon running days.

It is certainly the hardest trial I have undertaken in later years. I am extremely proud of what Michael and I achieved. The wonderful support we have received, the wonderful people we met on the route and bizarrely, the pain.

All of these go to make up one of the best experiences in my life, outside major family landmarks, of course. Most of all, I would like to thank you, readers and contributors both. I carried you with me all the way. The good wishes many of you sent in the few days leading up to the day kept the heart beating when it would have been easier to give up.

I know I have been jumping about a bit recently. From the Caribbean to Yorkshire to Lincolnshire to Devon and back to the West Indies. This week I am dedicating my time to telling you about the bike ride I recently undertook.
